Frank Ocean just took over the music world with the release of his album, Blonde…and he did it without a label.
A source close to Ocean has informed Pitchfork that his Endless visual album “fulfills Frank’s obligations to Def Jam and Universal” and also confirmed that ‘Blonde’ was self-released. More $$$ for Frank.
The release of Blonde came less than 24 hours after he released Endless, with Def Jam in the credits. The Blonde album credits just mentioned Boys Don’t Cry.
