Good grief…the 86′ Amazings’ two golden boys are at it again. Darryl Strawberry and Dwight Gooden are once again at odds publicly.
Darryl Strawberry came forward to let the world know that he no longer wants to be associated with Gooden whom Strawberry eludes is back/still on drugs.
“He’s not Doctor K…He’s an addict. … He needs someone to help him, and I just felt like I needed to do this, regardless of what anyone thinks or says. As long as I know I did what I could to save his life.”
Strawberry said on an ESPN radio interview earlier.
Gooden’s retort? Aside from the fact that he thought he and Darryl were back on good terms…
“He’s trying to take the heat off himself, people who [are] in glass houses do not throw stones…He’s cheating on his wife, he’s having an affair with people…Darryl has a drug rehab in his name, he is supposed to be a pastor. I call him Lucifer. … [Going public] was a weak shot, and he did it to make himself look better, because he is running a drug rehab.”
WELL DAMN YALL!
Crazy thing though, Gooden’s son, Dwight JR. issued an official statement thanking Strawberry for his sentiments? Even his ex-girlfriend is in on the swoop down. WTH?!? It’s in the gallery.
No idea what’s going on, but positive it should not be playing out in public. #IJS
