Frank Ocean is about to claim the number one spot easily and by a landslide, with the most anticipated album of the year, Blonde.
Blonde’s battle is against Tory Lanez debut album , I Told You, but there isn’t much competition. Ocean is projected to move around 225-250k equivalent album units in the week ending Aug. 25, whilst Lanez is looking at 35-40K (including streaming).
Frank’s last album, 2012’s grammy nominated Channel Orange, sold 131,000 copies (streaming wasn’t included in the charting formula back then) in its first week and made its debut at No. 2, behind Zac Brown Band’s Uncaged. We can only imagine what #Blonde is about to do!
The official numbers and charts will be unveiled August 28, stay tuned!!
