After Conor McGregor beat down Nate Diaz in a bloody fashion to even the score, everyone was very hype for a part 3, unfortunately there won’t be one.
Dana White tells TMZ Sports he wants Conor to defend his title against interim champ Jose Aldo. Dana Says, “The war was fun and super successful but I’m moving on.” Conor normally fights at 145 lbs but he went up to 168 lbs to fight Diaz. Dana says McGregor has three options, fight Aldo, surrender his title to him or cut weight to 155 lbs and fight Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight title.
Dana says under any scenario, he’s closing the books on McGregor vs. Diaz.
It’s odd that White would cut the trilogy especially with so many people clamoring to see part three. Is he scared McGregor might lose again? The scorecard is slightly controversial and some say he actually lost part two, so that would be two losses to Diaz, but others say Conor did win.
OR…. Is this another one of White’s lies, he’s been caught in quite a few.
