As the political race continues for who will become the next president of the United States, there will continue to be rallies. At this particular Trump Rally, a muslim lady was escorted out for handing out pens during the rally.
Rose Hamid was in the rally with her Hijab on handing out pens with the words “Peace” on them. She was escorted from the rally for that because she was told she was being a nuisance. This is the second time Hamid was thrown out of a Trump rally. However, this isn’t the first time a muslim has been kicked out of the rally.
Hamid told the Charlotte observer that she was at the rally to promote a positive image of muslims because of how the media and Trump portrays them. She also said she was having great conversations while handing out the pens and saying “Salam, I come in peace”.
She also escorted from a Trump rally in South Carolina after silently protesting. She wore a shirt that said “Salam, I come in peace” and a yellow star that read “Muslim”. That was very similar to what the Jewish people had to do during the holocaust years to symbolize that they were Jewish.
