Chance The Rapper is fully independent, and made history earlier this year when his album became the first streaming-only project to chart on top 10 on the Billboard 200. His success comes solely from the support of fans who attend shows, buy merch and stream the music, but now he wants to bring it even further.
“I want you to share my music in whatever city you’re in with as many people as possible,” Chance tweeted yesterday. “The radio is like a huge listening party for people of all demographics to get in tune. In those moment its mad ppl in harmony. #optioncee requires your twitter and will take place over the next few weeks. It has phases so I’ll keep tweaking it but let’s take over! I present #optioncee aka rapperradio.com. When you type in your city, a tweet to city button should appear. Will be up ASAP.”
