Lil Yachty is cited as tweeting “fuck j.cole”…way back in 2011 before he was anyone in the music industry. Now after the truth gets dug up, he explains himself.
Lil Yachty sat down for an interview with 106 KMEL where he cleared up his actions. No one’s been able to dig up the tweet, but he does admit to doing it even several times:
“I don’t know why back in the day I was heavy on saying ‘fuck J. Cole,’ I don’t know why. Aight, lemme clear this up. I used to say that a lot. The first one was 2011, I was in tenth grade I think. I fuck with J. Cole as a person, I don’t listen to J. Cole. I have nothing against J. Cole, I was young, I was just talking shit trolling. I didn’t think I was gunna be a rapper.”
“I fuck with J. Cole as a person. I don’t listen to J. Cole. But I have nothing against J. Cole. I was young, and I was just talking shit – trolling. I never thought I would be a rapper. I have no issues with J. Cole or his music.”
I guess there’s a first time for everything.
