Young Thug stays on the more complicated side of things, or artistic however you look at it, with the 300 boss Lyor Cohen revealing Thug’s changing his name…and it’s not to another “name”. Confusing right ?
Come August 26, Thug is dropping his mixtape Jeffery, named after his real name. Well apparently, once that happens, he’s changing his name to ‘No, My Name Is Jeffery.’
Thug’s given name is Jeffery Lamar Williams and this doesn’t seem like it’s a joke, considering Cohen is the one announcing and supporting the claims:
“The reality of the situation is, Young Thug is not going to be ‘Young Thug’ anymore. His new name is going to be ‘No, My Name Is Jeffery.’ ‘No, My Name is Jeffery.’ That’s his new name. And the reality is, when you see this commercial, you’re all going to understand what we do here at 300. Because it’s powerful images of what makes someone Young Thug and what the evolution and how someone is Jeffery. OK. It’s a circular thing, it’s important.
