Cincinnati Reds star Joey Votto briefly lost his temper during their game against the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday.
Votto was trying to catch a fly ball during the 7th inning when he collided with an excited fan who was trying to catch the ball as well.
Votto was extremely upset and grabbed the man’s Reds jersey, reminding him what team he was rooting for and that he was messing up their chances of winning the game by being in the way.
After he calmed down, Votto realized that he might’ve went overboard and wrote an apology on a signed baseball for the fan while in the dugout.
He later went back to the fan, gave him the ball and made amends.
All is well and Reds ended up winning the game 7-5.
