Vic Mensa has the streets talking after delivering a powerful set at Lollapalooza. Mensa has never been afraid to speak on things that matter such as the recent police shootings that America has endured. During his set, he performed his single ‘sixteen shots’ which at the end speaks on the tragic shooting of Laquan McDonald. He then performed his single ‘Free Love’ in which he speaks on the LGBT community. Mensa also got a chance to perform his single ‘Shades of Blue’ in which he speaks on the Flint Water Crisis in which people have seemed to sweep under the rug.
During the performance, Mensa has his back up dancers suited in riot gear. He punches his way through the riot as he performs ‘Sixteen Shots.’ As he performed ‘Free Love’ he bought out Lucy Stoole who played one of the people in the riot gear who was actually gay. Stoole and another woman played a lesbian couple who got married. Some are calling this the best performance they have ever endured ever. This is just how talented Mensa is! Well done.
