Just two days ago some of the biggest names in Houston Texas’s rich Hip Hop scene got together to contribute to United Bank Of Texas as they opened accounts in the only black owned bank in Texas.
Southern Artist such as Paul Wall, Trea Tha Truth, Slim Thug, Willie D, and Lil Keke just to name a few. They stepped up to make a statement in the wake of the civil unrest that has been going on in America regarding the police violence African American communities have endured this month.
“Earlier today me and my homies went and opened up new accounts at @unitybanktexas the ONLY Black Owned Bank in Texas. They have several Houston locations. I encourage you to do the same.”
Killer Mike has been at the forefront of the focus on financial empowerment in the black community in order to bring wealth to black Americans in the U.S. In a recent interview with HOT107.9 Mike give advise to all who will listen on “What Black People Should Do To Overcome Injustice”.
As an added incentive Paul Wall promises 10% off any grills purchased at his shop to who ever opened up an account.
