Pittsburgh Steelers running back, Le’Veon Bell is facing a suspension of four games for missing a drug test. I guess that’s better than being suspended for actually failing a test but nonetheless, Bell has a serious problem on his hands at the moment.

Even though the possible suspension isn’t for failing a test, it’s all one in the same. The league may look at it as Bell was purposely missing the test because he may have wanted to avoid it. Bell was suspended for the first three games of 2015, which was later reduced to two games, for a violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy after he was arrested for marijuana possession and DUI in the summer of 2014.
The appeal process is already ongoing, which is why no suspension has been announced. If Bell has to miss the first four games, the Steelers will be in good hands with D’Angelo Williams as the backup. He stepped into the starting role just fine when Bell went down with an injury last season.
Bell’s appeal is expected to be heard in the next few weeks before the regular season starts.
