Taylor Swift won’t be protected by the law in this debacle with Kim and Kanye West, after Kim tried to “expose” Taylor by leaking the phone call where she approves of the line “I made that bitch famous.” I still didn’t hear that part.

The story is going like this: Taylor’s lawyer threatened Kanye with a lawsuit for recording the phone call and Miss Swift has been considering filing a police report. The problem is that in California, if someone records a “confidential communication” and the other party to the conversation is unaware that it’s being taped, it’s a crime. But!… “confidential communication” doesn’t include conversations that “may be overheard.”
So who overheard them you ask? Rick Rubin was in the room as he can be heard in the background of the phone call and crew members filming Kanye were also present and speaking while the phone convo was on speaker. With all these different voices, the law expects that Taylor knew other people were listening…still doesn’t mean she knew she was being recorded lol.
