ScHoolboy Q makes a strong debut on the Billboard 200 this week, with his new album Blank Face coming in at number 2 with 74k units sold. In comparison, Q’s 2014 debut, Oxymoron, came in at number 1 with 139k in its first week.
Meanwhile, Drake is back to number one after being temporarily knocked out by Blink-182 last week. Views sold another 92k, making it one of only 10 albums in the last 20 years to spend that long at the top. With one more week, Drake will become one of 8, and with two more weeks, he’ll be one of only five! There are no major releases on the horizon, so it doesn’t appear he’ll have many challengers. The big numbers to beat are the Titanic soundtrack with 16 weeks, and Adele with 21 at 24 weeks.
