Three police officers in Baton Rogue have just been shot and killed. The mayor-president of East Baton Rouge Parish, Kip Holden states that they are still trying to get a hold of the situation.
UPDATE:
There is now a video out that shows an eyewitness account caught on camera of what went down during the shooting in Baton Rogue. The suspect was reportedly wearing all black and a mask.

UPDATE
We have now learned that 7 officers have been shot and 3 have been pronounced dead. A man opened fire on the police officers. Police had received a call of a “suspicious person walking down Airline Highway with an assault rifle.” Once police arrived, he opened fire. The injured officers are now in critical condition. Two shooters have been suspected in the killing. Many streets near the capital and also several police headquarters have been placed on lockdown. Police are currently hunting two gunmen with an assault rifle.

Holden says,
“The count is three officers dead possibly.There is still an active scene. They are investigating,” he said. “Right now we are trying to get our arms around everything. Everything is moving fast and I have not been able to verify everything,”
Baton Rouge Police Cpl. L. J. McKneely states multiple officers were down. After the death of Alton Sterling, the department was extremely worried about threats and retaliation.
