As you may have heard already, there is a Tupac biopic seriously in the works and it’s set to be really good. The process of it however is being delayed because of issues between Daz Dillinger and BMG.
See the problem is that Daz Dillinger claims he holds the rights to Tupac’s song “Ambitionz Az a Ridah”. That song is prominently featured in the “All Eyez on Me” film as was “Straight Outta Compton” for the movie Straight Outta Compton. Daz claims BMG says that they don’t need the green light from him and they can just put it in the movie.
Due to this disagreement, the movie release has been pushed back from September to November.
Daz has a history with BMG. Back in April he sued them because he claimed they owe him $75k in unpaid royalties.
