In Killer Mike’s interview with Hot 109.7 in Atlanta, he gave a descriptive plan on how to challenge the 1%. He says hitting them in their pockets is the only way you could make some change happen. Which is why he urges to take your money out the hands of “these dogs”.
“We have a one trillion dollar spending base and if you want to see change, you have to start to focus on, economically, how can we change our communities. We don’t have to burn our city down. But what we can do is go to your banks tomorrow. You can go to your bank tomorrow. And you can say, Until you as a corporation start to speak on our behalf, I want all my money. And I’m taking all my money to Citizens Trust.”
He urged people to take on the feasible task of bringing $100 from their banks and putting them into Citizens Trust. And people listened.
Since the interview, 8,000 Atlantans did as Killer Mike assigned. These 8,000 people generated 800K out of the big banks and into the hands of the black owned bank in Atlanta *applause*.
Celebrities take notes… This is how you make a difference. Your influence is far more greater than you believe, and they know this…
Props to Killer Mike.
