Over 30 people have been hospitalized due to a mass overdose on K2, which is a synthetic form of weed. The drug has reportedly been taking over the intersection of Myrtle Avenue and Broadway on the border of the Brooklyn neighborhoods Bushwick and Bedford-Stuyvesant.
On Tuesday at around 9:30am, police responded to a call where they found about 5 men suffering from the affects of the drug. This included hallucinations, urination, vomiting, and passing out. By 12am, there were over 30 suspected users.
38-year-old Brian Arthur filmed a video of the scene. He said,
“It’s like a scene out of a zombie movie, a horrible scene,”
Definitely a sad sight. Just seeing a bunch of young kids being affected by this horrible drug.
