Muflahi’s security system captured the gruesome and unjust killing of Alton Sterling last week on camera and has accused authorities of illegally taking him into custody and confiscating his entire security system without a warrant. When asked about the lawsuit by CNN, Cpl. L’Jean McKneely said police would not comment on pending litigation and it is still being treated as standard procedure.
The current investigation into the #AltonSterling murder is ongoing with the FBI and state police, with a federal civil rights investigation. Any consideration of state charges would come after the results of the federal investigation.
