Another day, another story of white officers causing harm to an innocent black life. This time, it happened in Decatur, Illinois and the victim was a 40-year-old man who was shot in the chest by police who were responding to a call about someone in possession of a handgun. He currently remains in serious condition.
Interim Police Chief James Getz revealed that the police officers were not wearing body cameras, but that cameras in the police vehicles had captured video of the incident, and that the video was being reviewed as a part of the investigation.
