The mayor of Atlanta has now spoke on the recent protest happening in the city of Atlanta. Mayor Kasim Reed says the people should not be protesting on the freeway. He goes on to say, Dr. King did not walk on the freeway. I guess the highways are more of importance to Mr.Reed.
Reed also went to speak about the Piedmont Park incident where a young man was found hanging from a tree. Reed says he will not release the name and other information until he speaks to the young man’s family. He asks people how would they feel if they heard about the death of a loved one through the media and not law enforcement. I can understand because it is the respectful thing to do. He also says he does not sense any foul play with this story.
