The United States Capitol was on high alert last night due to somebody near that was possibly armed.
The Capitol was on lockdown last night and everybody in it was instructed to take shelter. According to the Law Enforcement, there was an armed person on a subway near by. It’s not clear if the person entered the capitol or had intentions to. Authorities say the lockdown is being done as an “Abundance of caution”.
As of 9:45 am, the police ended the lockdown.
