Famed WNBA legend, Sheryl Swoopes, has been release from service at Loyola College in Chicago Sunday after a 2 month investigation into student mistreatment.
It appears that 10 players requested transfers citing verbal and emotional abuse from Coach Swoopes. One even claimed that playing for her was no longer about the game, but “survival”. Geez…tough like that? Swoopes had been coaching there since 2013 as her first coaching position.
Playing devil’s advocate, I wonder if male basketball players would have ever brought claims against a tough male basketball coach like this…and what would have been said of them…just things that make you go hmmmm…
