The Zika virus is spreading throughout South America, after initially living in Africa, Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands. Zika is a virus that is said to cause severe birth defects and possibly neurological problems in adults.

Because of this, several major events have been effected, including the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, as several athletes have declined to perform. Now Lollapalooza’s first annual Colombia show has been effected as well, with organizers being forced to cancel after the headliner, Rihanna, pulled out over Zika concerns. Festival organizers are reportedly offering refunds.
