Earlier this month, Wiz Khalifa sued his former label, Rostrum Records. Rostrum is the indie, Pittsburgh-based label that Wiz got his start on at just 16-years-old, but left a few years back as his celebrity grew and he needed a stronger backing.
In Wiz’s suit, he was asking for $1 million for Rostrum failing to disclose alternative arrangements that could be more beneficial to him, and instead tied him to an agreement that “reached for more than a decade into virtually every aspect” of his professional life.

Now, Rostrum is blasting back, claiming that they had a deal with Wiz for a 15% cut of touring and music royalties, as well as 20% of any merch sales. They’re asking for $2 million.
What a mess!
