It’s almost time for Kevin Durant to make the biggest decision of his career and he has added three more teams to his list of meetings in free agency.
Durant and his representatives added meetings with the Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, and Los Angeles Clippers, a league source confirmed to ESPN’s Chris Broussard.
They join the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder who were previously reported as having secured a meeting with the big free agent.
Durant is also considering meeting with the New York Knicks after their acquisition of Derrick Rose but has no plans to meet with his hometown Washington Wizards after all the hoopla last season about his possible homecoming. The Wizards however were already doubtful of their chances to sign Durant, a team source told ESPN’s Britt McHenry. Prior to last season there was a lot of hope about their future but the Wizards fell way short not even making the playoffs but instead finishing at 41-41 for the 10th spot in the Eastern Conference.
Durant, 27, has spent his entire nine-year career with the Thunder franchise. He averaged 28.2 points per game last season and led the Thunder within one victory of the NBA Finals.
NBA free agency officially begins July 1.
