TMZ reports that the 911 call Omar Mateen placed during the middle of his shooting at Pulse Nightclub has been released. The “heavily redacted transcript” shows Omar saying he was killing in the “name of God the merciful” and spoke heavily in Arabic – which is what was reportedly redacted.

At one point, Mateen also said:

“Praise be to God, and prayers as well as peace be upon the prophet of God. I let you know, I’m in Orlando and I did the shootings.”

He later had 3 conversations with police negotiators where he identified himself as an “Islamic soldier,” and said he was there because of the bombing of Syria and Iraq. The 911 audio has not been released, however, nor has the transcripts of the 3 calls with negotiators.
