It seems like you can’t have any safe leisure time nowadays. Every week theres a different animal in the news. This time it was a black bear.

During a marathon in a New Mexico National Preserve, a woman was attacked. At the Valles Caldera National Preserve, the participant was approached by a black bear. Park officials noted that the bears cub had climbed up a near by tree when the runner came within range. She suffered multiple bites and scratches, as well as non life threatening head, neck and upper body injuries. Other runners stopped to assist her until the EMT arrived. She was then air lifted to the nearest medical facility. She got lucky.
