A Milwaukee bus driver became hero to a young 15 year old girl who flagged her down after running away from a man who followed and attempted to throw the young lady in his vehicle.Read below for the full story and video.
Sharon Brown has been a milwakee Bus driver for over 10 years and said on her usual route she was being flagged down by a young lady who at the time chambers only thought was desperate not to miss the bus.
“I thought she was just running to catch the bus, but as she walked in front of the bus I noticed she was crying,” Chambers said in an interview with TMJ4. “I told her to get on the bus and let her know no one was going to mess with her on my bus.”

After comforting the young girl chambers alerted her dispatch of the incident who then alerted the police. Chambers then called the girls grandmother and waited for the police to arrive to the seen.Sharon recieved high praises from County Executive Chris Abele telling local reporters “Sharon Chambers is a wonderful example of how even small acts of kindness and compassion can have a large impact. Sharon, and all the other hardworking employees at MCTS and Milwaukee County, make me proud to live in Milwaukee and serve as county executive. Thank you, Sharon.”
