There is no question that Hip hop music has been influenced by a variety of artists, especially female artists who are now known legends in the game.We all have grown to become fans of Hiphop Queens Lil Kim, Missy Elliot, Queen Latifah,and Salt N Pepper. Well it has been confirmed that these female artists will be honored in the 2016 VH1 Hip Hop Honors Award Show.
The 2016 theme of VH1’s Hip Hop Honors is “All Hail The Queens”. What a perfect theme set for the honorees. Now we know 90’s/2000’s music wouldn’t be the same without Missy Elliot’s “Work it”,Lil Kim’s “The Jump Off”, Queen Latifah’s “U.N.I.T.Y” , and without Salt N Pepper we definitely wouldn’t know how to “Push It”.Their style of music will forever be apart of hip hop and these queens will be acknowledged for their work ethic in the music industry over the years on July 11th,2016 on VH1. Congratulations to Lil Kim, Missy Elliot,Queen Latifah,and Salt N Pepper. These queens have definitely earned these honorees.
