Some “lucky” fan is about to own a piece of history, despite how unsanitary it might be. Everyone knows Steph Curry loves his mouthguards and likes to chew on them while he is playing even more. Turns out there are some fans who like his mouthguard’s just as much and are willing to dish out some serious cash to own one of them.

ESPN’s Darren Rovell reported that SCP Auctions is placing a game-used Curry mouthguard on sale at auction, and the company is expecting it to sell for around $5,000.
SCP Auctions, which is based in California, said it obtained the mouthguard from a fan who picked it up off the floor near the Golden State Warriors bench after a game this season.
In March, Curry told Jimmy Kimmel that he changes out his mouthguard every three to four games.
“I just chew on it like crazy,” Curry told the comedian. “It kind of calms me down, especially when I’m at the free throw line.”
The same auctions house also previously sold a mouthguard from Muhammad Ali’s last fight, which wound up selling for $6,700.
