VH1 Hip-Honors has been on hiatus for six years (wow – I didn’t realize that!), but they’re returning in 2016, and will be honoring none other than New Jersey‘s very own, Queen Latifah.

VH1 Hip-Hop Honors: All Hail the Queens will air live from NYC on July 24 at 9pm, and will focus on “the female pioneers, trailblazers and trend-setters who led a movement and infiltrated the ranks of the male-dominated genre to make their voices heard and still do today.”
