Orlando shooter Omar Mateen’s father has spoken out, and he is as shocked as the rest of the world that his son has committed such a horrific crime. He apologizes and offers his condolences, but in a now-deleted clip, he also seemed to agree with his son’s motives.

The Washington Post reports that the father posted a Facebook video, speaking in Dari, saying God will punish homosexuals, and it’s not the place for the “servants of God.” The video has since been removed.
