It has been only a couple hours since the mass shooting that left many people dead and injured at a gay night club in Orlando,Florida called Pulse Night club . The police recently identified the gunman as Omar Mateen.
The father of Omar Mateen speaks out and apologizes for the incident that has left 50 people dead, and approximately 40 people injured. In a phone interview with NBC News the father gives a statement saying
“We are saying we are apologizing for the whole incident. We weren’t aware of any action he was taking. We are in shock like the whole country. This had nothing to do with religion.”
The father also mentions during the interview that he believes his son Omar Mateen’s motive for the mass shooting targeting the gay night club may be from when he was angry when he saw two men kissing in Downtown Miami a few months ago.
