Convicted Stanford rapist, Brock Turner’s mom, Carleen Turner, wrote a letter to Judge Persky in regards to her son’s sentencing. The letter has been released publicly and her letter is just as upsetting as the letter written by Brock Turner’s father, Dan A. Turner. In Dan Turner’s letter he said that his son should not be punished for twenty minutes of action.

In the letter written by Carleen Turner she mentions that it would be a “death sentence,” and that her son will “not survive” and also added that her son will be “damaged forever.” In the letter she also mentioned how this situation destroyed her family.

Mrs.Turner emphasized her son’s lack of a criminal record prior to the crime he committed.

“He has never been in trouble, never even had a demerit in high school, he studied, swam worked hard … His dreams have been shattered by this. No NCAA Championships. No Stanford degree, no swimming in the Olympics, no medical school, no becoming an Orthopedic surgeon.”

Of course Careeln is acting as if her son is the victim in this situation. I would think that she would have compassion due to the fact that she is a woman and that her son raped an unconscious girl. The Turner family is upset about their son getting six months in a county jail which will be shortened to three months if he has good behavior while incarcerated. If you weren’t aware the average prison time for rape is eight and nine years and Brock Turner will only be spending six months behind bars if that. Brock Turner got a slap on the wrist for raping an unconscious girl. Brock Turner may not have any criminal history but he knew damn well that you’re not supposed to rape people. Brock Turner will be forever known as a bitch and the kid who only got sentenced to six months in jail for raping an unconscious girl.
