Maria Mancia came home one night to find out that her husband took off with her 18 month-old son and every single photo of him, even the ultrasound smh. She had not seen her son in 21 years. Until now.

Mancia had only one picture of her son Steven Hernandez. The police looked deeply into the investigation but it was eventually set aside as a cold case. That is until they got a tip from a source this year that said Steven could be in Pueblo, Mexico. Steven knew his mother didn’t desert him like his father (who is said to possibly be dead) said but, what he didn’t know was that he was born in America; so he is technically a U.S citizen.
That made the process a lot easier, even though authorities from both sides of the countries were more than willing to help. They finally met each other, the mother in tears. She said:
“Now this anguish I’ve carried is gone now that I have my son back. I spent 21 years looking for him not knowing anything.”
