The Court of Appeals has just made a decision on Gun laws that may potentially change gun laws forever. They have ruled that there is no constitutional right to carry a concealed handgun.
A 7-4 vote done by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco held a law in California that requires gun owners to have a good reasoning before they purchase a gun.
“The protection of the Second Amendment — whatever the scope of that protection may be — simply does not extend to the carrying of concealed firearms in public by members of the general public.”
The court has decided not to speak on whether or not the constitution protects openly carrying the weapon in public.
