Actress Teyonah Parris, has starred in several cinema and television roles, from Survivor’s Remorse and Mad Men to Spike Lee’s Chi-Raq. Parris has arrived in Hollywood, with her black girl sparkle and plans on continuing shining. In fact Teyonah will be hitting your television screens this Sunday.
Parris is set to star in TV One’s movie, Love Under New Management: The Miki Howard Story. For those of you who don’t know who Miki Howard is, she was a hit R & B singer in the 80s and early 90s and an actress as well. She was featured in TV One’s UnSung show and her episode was ranked one of the highest rated, so they decided to make a movie.
As most know when you’re at the top there’s no place to go but down. In this case Howard was at the top and life just happened. She suffered through domestic abuse, survived drug addiction and more.
