Troy Ave waived his right to appear in court today to face charges stemming from the Irving Plaza shooting last month. He was indicted anyway, however, as prosecutors stated a grand jury had voted on it and came to the decision.

His charges are sealed, so his lawyers are unaware of what they are exactly, but they still maintain their client’s innocence, insisting that he was not the one who shot himself, nor Banga. The DA has requested a DNA swab from Ave as well, but they have not yet revealed why.
Ave’s next court date is June 22. In the meantime, his lawyer, Scott Leemon, is headed to France to help Freddie Gibbs fight rape charges and an extradition to where they stem from, Austria. Busy guy!
