Apart from all the foolery the world has heard Stacey Dash say, she has a lot of skeletons in the closet that has helped mold her into the person she is today. Her memoir, There Goes My Social Life, which coms out June 6, gave Dash a chance to speak on a lot of things she is currently still recovering from.
During a recent interview, Dash says the book is “extraordinarily heavy.” She speaks on being molested at the age of 4 by a 16-year-old. At just a teen, Dash says she became addicted to cocaine. To add more on top of that, she had entered an abusive relationship while in her 20’s. Dash says,
“Part of me felt like I deserved it because what I was coming from was no better. I didn’t have an identity.”
Dash says she wants to make things better for other inner cities which is why she goes so deep into politics.
“When you get stuff for free, you have no self-worth. When you have no self-worth, you become depressed, addicted, and either abused or an abuser. This is what perpetuates the cycle of violence in inner cities. We don’t need free stuff. We need opportunities.”
Dash recently endorsed Donald Trump. Im guessing she feels like he is the change we need in this world to make things happen.
