Valentina Shevchenko is scheduled to take on Holly Holm in July.  She survived an even bigger fight, miraculously escaping injury in a violent shootout in Peru.  Her trainer however was shot while exchanging gunfire with the bad guys.

According to TMZ Sports, Shevchenko was reportedly dining at a restaurant in Lima when three gun-toting men in motorcycle helmets came in to rob the place.

Shevchenko’s trainer, Pavel Fedotov, pulled out his own firearm and began shooting at the robbers — causing them to flee.

But during their retreat, one of the robbers shot Fedotov in the gut, sending him crashing to the ground. Security footage shows Shevchenko rushing to her trainer’s aid.

According to local reports, one of the robbers was killed by gunfire outside of the restaurant. The other two reportedly escaped.

Fedotov was reportedly taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries.

FYI, Shevchenko and Fedotov are gun enthusiasts who have recently posted videos showing off their skills at a gun range. In fact, Shevchenko’s nickname is “Bullet.”
