25-year-old Mexican professional player Alan Pulido, was kidnapped Sunday morning Pulido was taken somewhere near his hometown in the northern border state of Tamaulipas, Mexico, a state which has been beset by a wave of organized crime. It has been reported that Alan Pulido was leaving a party with his girlfriend around 2 A.M. when he found himself surrounded by trucks while in his car. A half-a-dozen men in masks kidnapped Pulido. His girlfriend was left unharmed by the kidnappers.

Pulido’s brother, Armando, made statements saying

“Yes, it’s true. We have the support of the governor. We are waiting to see what happens.”
