A Bronx man has just been arrested on terrorism charges for trying to support the terrosit group ISIS. Sajmir Alimehmeti was picked up from his home around 5:30am. Back in 2014, Alimehmeti tried to travel to the Middle east.
The man tried to help someone he thought was a ISIS supporter get to Syria. Little did he know he was helping a undercover agent. He bought the undercover weapons such as knives and other weapons. Alimehmeti even showed him his ISIS videos. A picture of Alimehmeti appeared in court documents of him with an ISIS flag on his wall. The supporter has currently been charged with attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and for making a false statement in an application for a United States passport.
