Back in 1993, then-newcomer Snoop Dogg and his bodyguard McKinley Lee were charged with the murder of rival gang member, Phillip Woldermariam. Snoop was riding in the car with Lee when he shot Woldermariam, but ultimately, both men got off – even though it took Snoop three years worth of fighting the case.
Fast forward to last weekend, and the scene was being reenacted at a San Fernando Valley park…and the only people in-the-know were the police. This means that innocent bystanders had no idea the shooting that they were heard wasn’t real, and naturally, it left them all scrambling for cover.

Thankfully, folks soon found out it was merely movie magic, as the infamous murder case will be chronicled in a new docuseries on Reelz, Rich and Acquitted. The series begins airing in September, and will also chronicle the acquittals of Robert Blake, Oscar Pistorius, O.J. Simpson, R. Kelly and Michael Jackson.
