A scene that was being filmed for “Rich and Acquitted,” where the reenactment of the infamous murder case with Snoop Dogg and rival gang member, spooked many bystanders nearby as they thought the shots fired were from a real shooting.
The infamous murder case of the 1993 shooting death of gang member Philip Woldemariam. Snoop Dogg who was in the rival gang, was tried for murder and acquitted.
Cops were already informed that blanks would be fired in the park to reenact the murder, but apparently that message wasn’t relayed over.
This is not the first time policemen were informed about a shooting recap for a TV show or movie, and the public found themselves being left clueless.
“Rich and Acquitted” will also chronicle the acquittals of Robert Blake, Oscar Pistorius, O.J. Simpson, R. Kelly, and Michael Jackson.
The series airs on Reelz beginning in September.
