Former member of Destiny’s Child, Letoya Luckett, will be staring in a new biopic. The big news was announced Friday that the singer turned actress landed the role of Dionne Warwick and she couldn’t be happier. Luckett expressed her happiness on Instagram saying

“To God be the glory! Overjoyed & honored! Thank you #DionneWarwick”

The film is based off of Dionne’s autobiography titled, ‘My Life as I See It.’ The film will cover Warwick’s life and career from 1962 through 1968. It was previously announced that Lady Gaga would be playing the role of Warwick’s “nemesis” Cilla Black, however reps for Gaga deny these reports.
