Chance the Rapper’s new album, Coloring Book, was leaked on Datpiff when it was actually supposed to be an Apple Exclusive!
People were able to access Chance the Rapper’s new album, Coloring Book, slightly earlier than when it was supposed to be released. According to Billboard, Coloring Book, was supposed to be an Apple Music exclusive but the album popped up immediately on Datpiff. The album was downloaded and streamed hundreds of thousands of times within 11 hours.
No one is sure how this happened but Chance told Billboard that the album posting on Datpiff was a leak. However, on Datpiff the album posting is marked as official and it’s easy to see how this could’ve gone unnoticed since Datpiff hosted previous mixtapes by Chance.
The confusion seems to be over as Datpiff has removed Chance’s album but there is a very good chance that it may pop up on other piracy sites.
Despite the unauthorized leak, Chance 3 could still fair for a good week. Make it two weeks since Chance’s new album will be an Apple Music exclusive for the next two weeks.
