Lamar Odom suffered a near-fatal drug overdose last October that left him on life support with a dire prognosis. The Kardashians including Khloe and Kim, as well as Kim’s husband Kanye West, all visited Odom in the hospital hoping for his recovery. In a recent episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, they showed pictures and videos of Odom in the hospital, including a private performance Kanye gave Odom of his music. They also revealed the music greatly helped Odom recover.

“Lamar wasn’t able to walk,” Khloe Kardashian said, “he had no facial recognition.”
“There was a moment when Lamar couldn’t really express himself and he couldn’t really talk, but he could hear what we were saying to him,” Kim said. “Kanye really felt we can cure him through music, like we can get him to talk. He would go to the hospital and he would rap and sing, and I think Lamar started to get his function back and started to talk once he started to listen to a lot of music.”
Kardashian revealed Lamar had told her: “Kanye West’s music helped me so much. That’s when I realized I could start thinking again and things were coming back to me and I could start articulating it.”
Khloe added, “He’s always like that. He’s like, ‘Kanye saved me.'”
Odom’s first public appearance was at Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 3 fashion show/ The Life of Pablo listening session. Odom also attended Kobe Bryant’s last game with West.
