The Weeknd is reportedly back in the studio with his producers from one of his debut projects, House of Balloons. This is the project that he dropped as a “mixtape” back in 2011, which Drake heard, leading to the two collaborating on “Crew Love” for Drake’s Take Care album, all before the beauty behind his madness was revealed.
In a new interview with Vogue, Abel doesn’t say exactly who he’s been in the booth with, but it’s pretty safe to say he’s been working with HOB producers Illangelo, Jeremy Rose & Doc McKinney.
He stresses this time around, it won’t be a “mixtape” but a new thing. He even had to pull out of Rihanna’s ‘ANTI’ tour, because
“Creatively, some magic is happening right now, and I don’t want to lose it. It could be an album or it could be something else, but whatever it is, music is being made.”
Can’t wait to see what The Weeknd has in store next, coming off of his two Grammy wins and 7 noms.
