Sources say Prince was suppose to meet with an addiction specialist the day before he died. Minneapolis-based attorney William Mauzy reported that Prince reached out to Dr. Howard Kornfeld to help him because he “was dealing with a grave medical emergency.”
Mauzy says,
“The plan was to quickly evaluate his health and devise a treatment plan. … The doctor was planning on a lifesaving mission.”
He said when he arrived he could not get a hold of Prince. This is what led to Prince being found in his elevator unresponsive. Prince’s team wanted him to go to Dr. Kornfeld’s rehabilitation facility in Mill Valley, California to get help for his prescription drug usage.
